Information Kiosk - University Prospectus

A university wishes to provide a touch screen version of its prospectus for use at an educational conference. Using the Cammax KMS Design Manager, they upload a graphic with the university logo, and set areas to be used for menus and content. Then they create a set of menus based on the prospectus chapters, and finally they simply cut-and-paste the text and graphics from the original document into the kiosk pages. After a final check using the Preview option, the entire display is transferred from a desktop PC to the stand-alone kiosk, which is then delivered to the conference venue.

At the venue they realise that an important piece of information has been left out. They quickly connect a keyboard to the kiosk, enter their username and password, add and publish the missing information using the KMS editor.

After the conference, the university plan to network the kiosk and place it in the student union for use as a student information point, updated remotely by the student health team, the entertainments committee, etc, as needed.
