The Families Information Service at the forefront of technology.

Various Families Information Services throughout the UK chose Cammax Limited’s stylish Cirrus kiosks to provide parents and carers childcare information from numerous centre’s throughout the UK.

Touch screen technology has given significant benefits in learning with it being user friendly, convenient, government efficient and offering increased customer satisfaction. The adoption of this technology coupled with easy access to the internet has reached out into an array of communities, enabling fast access to up to date information.

The Cirrus kiosk is ergonomically designed for all ages, with child safety paramount; the unit is Disability Discrimination Act compliant and also comes with wall mountable and desk mount versions available. The Cirrus kiosk offers an attractive robust casing, high quality TFT touch screen, and comes with optional peripherals such as the warm phone, hearing loop and vandal resistant keyboard with touch ball. Plans exist to rollout the service to further sites across the UK.

The kiosks are managed remotely including all fault reporting, remote content updating and tailored to a portal home page allowing users to identify websites of interest as Parentline Plus, Jobcentre Plus and Directgov, the solution comes with guaranteed maintenance and support service and all of our operatives are CRB approved. The kiosks give parents and children a range of information from childcare, to returning to work, things to do with young children, special needs, health service, housing and much more.

Foluke Olorunfemi, a mum of four who has used the kiosk said "The kiosk is really very good. It’s quick and easy to use and was especially handy when I was searching for childcare. There’s a surprisingly huge range of useful information, which is great! I’ll definitely be using the kiosk again!".

Estcourt Children Centre was opened by John Prescott MP

Councillor Christine Randall, lead member for Hull City Council children and young people services, said:
"Children centre’s offer a local point of contact for families with young children in Hull, and make it easier for them to access a range of help and support services in one place.

By 2010 every local community will have access to a children centre, which is a vital part of making our services more accessible to families."
