Key Technology Solutions offer the Paylink interface board which quickly
and cost effectively enables a kiosk pc to speak to almost any peripheral,

cycle is an equally simple and fast means of integrating different combinations
of payment peripherals - handling coins, bills and tokens - into the
machine.
The unit is a small circuit board packaged in a metal box, that will
connect to any standard PC computer USB socket. As far as the money
handling peripherals are concerned it will interface to a wide variety
of coin and note accepting equipment and coin dispensers. As far as
PC is concerned, it provides, via a DLL, a high level, easy-to-use interface
for the application programmer.
PC based developers are happy to drive the standard PC peripherals (video
output, sound output, touch screen input), but need a method of interfacing
with the other units that go to make up a complete terminal. This is
especially true of the coin handling equipment. The techniques of communicating
with money handling equipment and those used in the creation of PC based
systems are very dissimilar and have many mutually contradictory requirements.
The driver software simply maps an area of memory inside the unit onto
an area of PC memory. This can then be very simply accessed via simple
DLL interface routines. There is no need for complex code (such a active
X components) to drive protocols or to catch transient signals.
Full support is already provided for high-security, state-of-the-art
peripherals today. As new devices become available, then we will provide
support for these new devices. Simply download an application from the
Internet, run it on your machine's PC and the interface card will be
automatically upgraded to recognise the new, latest peripheral set.
